Home Made Pizza

Home Made Pizza

Home Made Pizza is really easy to make in the Round Countertop Convection Oven.  The only limits are your imagination and what ingredients you have available.

I recently made pizza at home and as you can see, it turned out pretty nice.  It was certainly delicious 🙂

I used a bought pizza base for this pizza, but I’ve used Naan bread, Roti, Pita Bread and Puff Pastry as a base.  I’ve even used white bread, cut the crusts off and rolled it thin to make a pizza base.

I prefer a barbecue base, so smeared bbq sauce all over the bottom of the pizza.  I added onions, mushrooms, capsicum and topped with some grated cheese.

I then popped it into my Round Convection Oven.  I didn’t even need to find a tray to put it on.  My Home Made Pizza sits on top of the high tray and cooked to a crunchy base.

I cooked the pizza at 200o C / 395oF for about 20 minutes and it was done.  Delicious gooey cheese, delicious toppings with a crunchy base.

These are great for kids to make as well.  Give them a heap of toppings, let them make their own and you can cook 2 at a time in the convection oven.

  • Pizza Base – make your own or buy a base
  • BBQ sauce for the base cover
  • Onion
  • Mushrooms
  • Capscium
  • Grated cheese

  1. Onion, mushrooms, bacon, capsicum, sun dried tomatoes.
  2. Bacon, pepperoni, beef, onion
  3. Artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, feta, prosciutto
  4. Ham and Pineapple

  • Add any topping that you love.
  • If using puff pastry as a base, make sure you use a tray, the puff pasty is more fragile
  • You can use passata or a can of crushed tomatoes for the base
  • You can use sweet chilli sauce or satay sauce for a different flavoured base
  • Mix the base flavouring with tomato and sweet chilli or tomato and bbq sauce
That’s how easy it is to make Home Made Pizza.  I hope you enjoy your next Pizza made in your convection oven.

Great tips on making own pizza at home. I also prefer barbecue base. One of my favorite is barbecue chicken with pineapple on it.

Nice Pizza toppings Wilson. I’ve never tried chicken and pineapple. I’ll have to give that a go.

Homemade pizza is very popular at my house. I reckon you can put a bit of pineapple on almost any pizza – although I prefer all savoury myself 🙂

Haven’t tried using barbeque sauce as the base. I’m sure my sons would love it, but I’m not a big fan of it myself. I prefer to use tomato puree.

Hi Jan, I do admit I like pineapple but I don’t always have it in the house. You could try a mixed pizza. Have tomato puree on one side and mix a bit of BBQ sauce onto the other side and see if you like it. 🙂

We cooked pizza last weekend! It was so yummy…we used a easy recipe for the base, and vegetarian for the topping! Our boys love it.
We have to make six pizzas so we start them off in the frypan and then finish them in the Counter top convenction oven so that we can cook faster 🙂

Love the look of your pizza.

Hi Harry, home made pizza doesn’t need a lot of cheese. Give the pizza idea a try without cheese. Let me know how your pizza tasteed.

    Hi Harry,
I have been telling my wife that it would be great to make our own pizzas so you have inspired me to give it a go as I do all the cooking at home.
I just realised I need to buy myself a pan big enough to fit into my bench top convection oven. I will put that on my shopping list. Best regards, Keith

Hi Keith, that’s great you are going to give Pizza’s a go. If you are looking for buying a pan, check out any local restaurant suppliers. I got some round pans and trays for my convection oven at a really great price.
