- 3 – 4 corns of cob
You need foil or a cover over your pan. I love using my tagine to cook it with. I just use the extender ring to lift up the top of the Round Convection Oven. Cut the corn kernels off the cobs – I’ve tried this with frozen corn and it’s ok, I just love fresh corn.
Place the corn into the cooking container, add the butter and a splash of water, a pinch of salt and pepper and put a lid on or cover tightly with foil.
I usually cook it at 220o C / 430o F for about 20 minutes. Always check when you cook it for the first time, because every cooker is different.
After 10 minutes check it and see if the corn is cooked, see if it needs more water and give it a good stir.
After 20 minutes, if the corn is cooked the way you like it, take the lid off and crank up the heat to the top heating setting you have for 5 minutes to get a lovely charred top to the corn.
Serve at dinner with your favourite meat or if having it for breakfast like I do, add a small dob of butter and some salt and pepper to enjoy your Fried Corn.
One of my favourites – how do you like eating corn?
